Mr. Mintah did not take his temporary suspension kindly at all. To show how much of a big baby he was, he was once again before the press, lamenting about how this unnamed student was destroying his life and breaking his family apart. After his lamentations, he went as far as to humbly beg this culprit to tell the truth.
He should have considered a career in theatre.
Miss. Gyan had had enough and she decided it was time to bite back.
Now is when you get to meet my older sister, Jean. Jean is a professional PR manager with a knack for social media and all things publicity. Think of all the cool celebrities and know that she has represented them.
All the scandals that magically vanished were strategically handled by her. She’s good at her job and she knows it. Yes, that’s my sister. I’m so proud. Lara mentioned to me that Mara needed to tell her side of the story and so I asked my sister if she would be interested.
They had scheduled to give their own statement on Wednesday and they did.
“Sex for grades has been something that is prevalent in this country for a while now. Today, our client has come forward to share her story in the hopes that it’ll put an end to this menace. Let’s not sweep it under the rag. As parents we must recognize that this could easily be our children if we don’t do something now. Yes, she failed a course and as a naïve Level 100 girl, she went to see a professional for help on what to do. He, as a responsible adult should have told her, rather than request for sex in exchange. Imagine a daughter, going to her father to help her open a tin and instead of showing her how, he does it for her and demands for sex in exchange. Do we blame the little girl for going to her father? No. Who else was our client supposed to go to for the ultimate guidance and direction? We have a sea of evidence which will prove that not only is our client telling the truth, but Mr. Mintah is a sexual predator who belongs behind bars.”
The entire issue was trending on Twitter for a long time after that, with some of his victims reaching out to Miss. Gyan that they too wanted to come forward.
The case was getting more solid by the moment.

Hall weeks like I said are a very dangerous time. One student wanted to display his driving prowess and passed his car over a girl’s foot so she had to be rushed to the ER. I was very grateful to be with the boys because girls were getting groped indiscriminately.
It’s not all bad though because we had things like unlimited food and drinks.
Boateng was no where to be found in all our adventures. He had sworn that what happened with Marilyn was a one-time thing but it turns out it was meant to be a two-time thing. I didn’t bother too much about his absence because I figured he was getting the help that he needed and he was trying to practice being on his own. Besides, I had bigger fish to fry.
Sly and I had been coming back from the faculty when we met this Aphrodite again. Sly asked me to go ahead back to the hall as he spoke to her. Yes, he sent me off so he could talk to this princess of doom and beauty.
I was not pleased when he got back but I didn’t want it to show. Technically, he had not done anything wrong. I didn’t want to be the jealous girlfriend, especially when we were barely a month into the relationship.
“What were you guys talking about?” I asked casually, trying to hide my jealousy.
“I was thinking of running for a position in the faculty next year. She works with the SRC so I figured she could give me some tips and once I get good with those on the inside, it’ll be easier. What do you think about it?”
“I think that’s an awesome idea. You’d be so great at it” I said excitedly. I could already picture being the first lady of the Economics faculty. We would be such a power couple. As much as I was excited about his political ambition, I still wanted to know more about this modern-day Cleopatra.
“How do you two know each other?” I asked.
Sly had his back turned to me and in the quickest way responded “oh she’s my ex”.
See me, see trouble o! This was bad. This was very bad. His ex? His ex? There are many other responses I could have tolerated. This was not one of them. He dated her?
I needed to know more about this girl and the only way to do that was to stalk her on social media. I knew just the person for the job.

Have you ever sprayed a room with insecticide and returned to see several dead cockroaches lying about? That was exactly the situation with Mara. Her anonymous press conference was bringing the cockroaches out. In this case, it was one big cockroach by the name Mr. Mintah.
The indirect hits were no longer working for him. He had failed to scare Mara off by underestimating the team backing her. Jean never loses. Lara is resourceful and Miss. Gyan was ready for war. Not to mention Mara’s parents had intimated that they were willing to do whatever was necessary to make sure that everything went smoothly.
Mara was returning from class when Mr. Mintah accosted her in front of the hall. He was almost unrecognizable in his outfit.
“If you think anyone is going to believe you, then you’re lying. You better drop this case if you know what is good for you” he had said.
Mara was initially shaken. She wanted to retreat. There was a good chance people would not believe her. Even though Lara was trying to hide it from her, she had seen some of the tweets calling her a useless F student and a manipulator. Some said she was a scorned sugar baby and others said she was an imbittered lover. Just then, another thought occurred to her. She did not see his car parked at the lot, meaning that he came in an Uber. The only reason he would do that instead of coming in his Range was because he didn’t want anyone to see him. He was also here dressed like one of the laborers. It was clearly a disguise. This could only mean one thing. He was scared.
“Sir, please I’ll take my chances” she replied, walking off confidently. She quickly rounded the corner and ascended the stairs before her knees would give way.

I furnished Lara with the name and all I knew about Trudy and she succeeded in finding out her full name and social media.
“Are you sure you want to do this? Once you go through the exes socials, there’s no going back. Everything changes.”
“I’m ready” I said, itching to get my hands on the pages.
This girl was just too much. There were posts from her giving speeches at important functions, doing charity work and working out. She was stunning in all of her pictures. Some of them highlighted how endowed she was in terms of the female body shape.
Lara was right. the more I scrolled, the more intimidated I got but I could not go back now. I just needed to know. There’s a reason they say ignorance is bliss. I wish I was ignorant.
As Lara scrolled, she let out a gasp. I leapt out from my seat. “What is it? What did you see?” I asked urgently. Mara came over to look too.
Under one of Trudy’s pictures with her backside in full view, Sly had commented “I can never get over this view. I can never get over you” and the comment was from December.
